The issues were all struck in 82-81 BC.. all under supervision of the two quaestors who also accompanied him to Spain - Lucius Fabius and Gaius Tarquitius, and their names appear on the reverse of their respective coins.</p><p>C. Annius, upon his arrival in Spain then had to deal with the former governor Q. Sertorius .. a supporter of Marius - who was not to be dislodged from Spain without a fight.
