And I thought my bank did well by me. I've never gotten any SCs or USNs, just old, pretty well circulated FRNs and the occasional older star. That's a truly incredible find. Hard to believe none of the tellers saw fit to take them home.
The real treasures were indeed taken home by the vault teller, she told me she bought $75 worth that were brown seals(nationals) and gold seals(North Africa) and some stars. I am going to take her her goodies this week and go over the stuff she saved, just for research purposes as it is indicative of what was actually circulating at the time. She maybe young, 25 years old, but she is bright to have picked off the best stuff by researching them on the internet and checking values etc. I admire these tellers that get these treasures and even buy some for themselves. I really cannot complain about what she saved for herself - if you look at what I got with the 85 notes I have I am pretty pleased. I have another teller that saves all the silver goodies for herself, but she lets me look at them and tell her about what they are, how much they are worth etc.
That's 'cause the bloody vault teller swooped in and took'em........ That's an impressive find Scottish.
