I've seen a few people on here recently post some rather toasty coins, and it reminded me of one I found back in 2009 metal detecting. I was next to a Meetinghouse in Southern New Hampshire that was built in 1732. The disc popped out of the ground and it honestly looked like an electrical outlet plug. I threw it in my collections bag and gave it no further thought. Later that night, threw it in a cup of water just to see what would happen, and wouldn't you know it... A head popped out at me! I ended up reaching out to Tom Deck (largecents.net) and believe it or not, he was 99% sure this is a 1797 (with the 1 7 97 spacing). He was 50% sure it's a S-136. Just blew my mind he could get ANYTHING from this old crusty! Still in my collection. Not like anyone would buy it from me anyhow!
