I'm an avid collector of odd, mis-minted coins. However this one is a head scratcher as it was not overstruck (restruck). Specimen #1 is the base coin for the overstruck coin. Specimen #2 is the overstruck (restruck) coin. Specimen #3 is suppose to be an overstruck (restruck) coin similar to specimen #2; however there are no traces of any restriking or the base coin. It appears to be "unique" in that it wasn't restruck on an existing coin but was actually struck on a clean flan. What do you think?
