Well today was certainly interesting for me. I was off work. As many know I do painting and drywall. Getting tight now as new home construction is plummeting. So, I'm going to fire up some auctions. Need some supplies for that so I went to the local coin shop. Haven't been there in months. When money is tight this is the LAST place I need to go - took a while to get over the withdrawal symptoms but I did. ;) So I get there and the bosses assistant says "Clembo! Haven't seen you in ages!" Yes, he did call me clembo and I explained why. The owner was busy but he's always the man that makes decisions. He gets freed up and I talk to him for a couple of minutes. He offers me a job! Now, I've done a bit of "work" for him in the past. Sorting albums, sidewalk sales but he's really serious today. I told him I would seriously consider it. The pay isn't as good but the "perks" are pretty nice. Get to see a lot of coins as they come in. I do know his assistant has a pretty nice collection of toned Morgans because of this. When I got home I called my boss. He's a really good guy and has treated me very well. Asked him just how busy we were going to be (although I have a pretty good idea). Told him I was considering part time. He says go for it and he'll work around my schedule at the coin shop. Think I'm going to go for it. Start part time and see what happens. The coin shop is closed on Wednesdays so I'll contact the owner and see if we can iron out details then. Probably give him a call tomorrow to set it up. So that's exciting now isn't it? Well, it gets better. Sorted a bunch of wheaties today (hey had the time) and found this. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/ds.jpg Think I got me a 1944 D/S. Like I said. An interesting day!
