    thats sad that someone would actually charge that much for such common coins. sounds like a shop at home kind of guy.

    You just have to find some coin shows. At most, not all, coin shows, kids are treated as if they were the best customers in the world. At most coin shows around here they get free coins, free coin magazines, door prises, and lots of fun. They usually get so much stuff I sometimes feel like trying to rent a kid just for all the free stuff.

    I started collecting when I was 12, and didn't get squat.

    Indeed!

    Mike, this is a great story -

    When I just started collecting, I bought from littletoncoin company,
    using their advertisement in the mail.. Only to learn later, when I started doing e-bay and buying from apmex, that
    their prices are 2-3 times higher than average market prices,

    it is good that I was able to return half of the items, and my losses were
    cut to the minimum.

    Somehow, I thought, that no company would have rediculous prices on coins, I thought that would not make sense, and littletoncoin seemed lika serious company. Alas, I was wrong;
    and now I am very very cautious, doing all the proper research before I commit to buy...

    Littleton is VERY serious actually. They want to make as much money as possible and unfortunately have the buying power to purchase huge lots then sell at over inflated prices to the uninformed.

    Great businessmen - horrible coin dealers.
