My saved searches notified me of this one about a week ago on eBay, and I had planned on setting a reminder for myself to try to snipe it - then I realized that $8 was the BIN price, not the start bid. Sold! This one is intriguing because despite having the typical Hephthalite/Kobadien fabric (broad flan, poor metal, poor strike) it is lacking the other features typical of those: - No pellets outside of obverse margin - Unusual portrait style and headgear - No tamghas or Bactrian anywhere on the coin - The mint has not been replaced with Bactrian "Alchoon" but rather with 5 pellets It's on the tip of my tongue that I've seen one like this, but I can't seem to find a match. As an added bonus, I also picked up a grotty but still very cheap more proper Hephthalite type, with at least one obverse pellet visible + the normal ALCHOON reverse. As an added bonus, a piece of another coin is still fused to it from when they were stacked together in the hoard!
