I didn't see a lot of chatter on CT about this Commem, so I thought I would start a thread and have a poll.

Personally, I like the design of the Silver and Gold pieces. I only purchased a Silver Proof. I'm curious to see the responses.

I like the gold 5 dollar. Out of my price range. The rest I can easily pass on though.

I will be purchasing one each proof and uncirculated half dollar and dollar coins next month to combine my order for a proof set, the next ATB quarter S-mintmarked roll and it five-ounce silver companion.

It is sad to see so little interest in modern commemoratives. A lot of folks are more worked up over the 2019W proof cent than anything else these days.

I like the reverse of the gold, the others I don't like at all.

Not today, will pick up an Unc dollar on the secondary market at some point in the future.

Although I like the gold design, $400 is too much for me.
I agree with dwhiz on the other two - meh!

Just over a month has passed and there has been no further discussion of this commemorative series. American commemoratives have really hit the doldrums.

I think one of the reasons for the lack of interest in modern commemoratives is the enormous number being produced. When the market gets flooded with coins celebrating everything from Apples to Zebras, they become passe and the interest fades and the market wanes.
How can I possibly afford to buy one of everything being produced?
    I can't, therefore , I don't.

Not when it comes to uncirculated gold. I know they're pricey, but they're produced in low numbers.........

The trouble is the issue prices are high. Sometimes you can wait and get them for less in the secondary market.
