Hood in Oregon.</p><p><br /></p><p>Designs haven&#039;t been released yet (they might not have been finalized, another possible explanation for waiting until April).&nbsp; The obverse will be basically identical to the quarter design used since 1999 (there was a time they were considering putting Theodore Roosevelt on the obverse, since he was so instrumental in promoting the national park system, but they decided to stick with the Washington design).</p><p><br /></p><p>These will be going until at least 2021 (5 a year; each state, plus DC and the 5 territories, gets one; that&#039;s 56 quarters, so there will only be one of these in 2021 probably).&nbsp; When the series ends, the Secretary of the Treasure has the option of extending the program by allowing each state, DC, and territory to have a second design... extending it by about another 11 years.</p><p><br /></p><p>Oh another BTW... as a companion to these the mint will also be producing silver coins with these design, 3 inches in diameter and containing 5 oz. of silver... will be the largest coins the US ever produced![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
