    Hi All

From all the coins my grandmother left me, this is probably the "best" in terms of collector value / slight rarity.

To me it looks spot on with the MS 61 in the Photograde app - Am I close / on target?

Also- trying to wrap my head around the whole VAM thing - so if you see anything on here, please let me know and explain what the giveaway is. There seems to be a ton of variations in just the "O" mintmark

I’m thinking you’re spot on on the grade. Good luster but really baggy

I think this coin grades more like AU55.

AU58 is an attractive AU coin. MS61 is an ugly mint state coin.

    Your coin is attractive imho:)

Only the best VAMpires are able to attribute their specimens without going totally bonkers.

It's unfortunate that the Van Allen/Mallis book, Comprehensive Catalog and Encyclopedia of Morgan & Peace Dollars never made it past the Fourth Edition because it only listed about 1,800 of the approximately 4,000 varieties that now exist. However, the book does contain a load of technical data that has remained unchanged for decades.

Looks like I’m on track in the sense that I’m always 2 grades high. Haha.

She's had a hard life bouncing around in a $1000. Bag of Morgans....this could go Au./low MS.
I'm in the low MS group but again it could fall on either side of the line.
