I guess I'm not really sure what "look" you're asking about? Are you asking about the subtle golden patina around the coin? I think this is extremely attractive. You'll find a lot of DMPLs are dipped white to maximize that fresh look, but they sacrifice originality. I'd prefer something with a bit of patina, a bit of original skin, to something that's dipped black and white. Nah, bruh, the coin you posted shouldn't be 65. I'd grade it 64, and if you're lucky it would get a plus (but I wouldn't). There is way too much disturbance on the cheek for a 65; she looks like she lost a gang fight in Chicago.
Don’t dislike the toning but it’s a bit baggy for the grade. I don’t love the coin nor do I hate it. To me this would just be a price buy for resale is all
Holy Jeez! I missed that they graded this thing a 65. I was simply commenting on the coloring of the coin. While I know that PL pieces will highlight dings more than normal, how in the WORLD would that piece grade a 65? Seriously, that is how LOW the slabbers have gone on 65 pieces today? Good gosh, no wonder slabbed 65 prices are tanking. I was thinking 62, maybe 63 because I do know PL makes the dings appear worst. I am just going to crawl back into my little ancients hole now. Ouch.
