    Nice! If I was going to buy an AU Bust Half I would choose one like yours. A 180 year old white coin by definition cannot be original so toned is the way to go!

    Well! Thank you all for your enthusiasm. At least I can say I have a good eye. I was just hoping it would be authentic...to hear that it has a strong strike makes me smile! I'm a happy camper!

    Man, that is a gorgeous Bustie! And it is one of my favorite varieties, too. That die break is instantly recognizeable, although yours is a mid-die state. Later in its life, that break grew to be quite huge. I have since sold this one, but it was graded AU-50. Bob's pictures are too good not to share:
