Really?? It looks polished, not whizzed (at least to me and pretty much everyone else who has commented).
Of course it is a Peace Dollar. That was a bone-headed mistake on my part. I was looking at a Walker before I commented. Must have had the image in my brain still. I ask about the Harry Potter book because as you may know, a first edition Sorcerer's Stone is worth many thousands of dollars. The British version is worth much more. But I won't comment further, because as BUncirculated notes, this is not "... an Harry Potter forum ...". Glad you found some nice things. Jonathan
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and The Half Blood Prince. 1st Edition Hardbacks, No folds, bends or anything. Lord of the Rings, Revised Edition 1978. Hardbacks trilogy box set.
I'd take them to a fine book dealer. If the Sorcerer's Stone is a first edition/first printing (emphasis on first printing) with dust jacket, then it is worth some money. I believe Arthur Levine was the publisher. Half Blood Prince would be worth less because it is a later book in the series. It would be good for you to know for sure! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya' Jonathan
