you say it does not have anything to do with money, but at the same time you say that you decided to purchase those coins. well, here is good question, how could you purchase any coins without any money?

Why does it even matter, dude? Who are you to say what someone else should feel accomplished with in this hobby? Just because you may not have a lot of money doesn't mean that people who have earned money to purchase coins cannot feel pride in completing a set.

my comment is not spam. rich people just want to justify their expensive hobbies as being accomplishments. my comments are the truth. you won't hear much truth from the others on here. they are all followers of the same false ideas.

So people who have worked hard to earn money so that they can enjoy a hobby are not allowed to feel accomplished about it? Again, who are you to tell someone how they should feel about a hobby they participate in?

I think you really may be the only one in this forum that believes this. Everyone else disagrees with you. What's more likely...that the thousands of members who feel accomplished in their hobby are completely wrong, or a single member who seems to just have something against people with more money is wrong?
Time to wake up and face that facts that, guess what-people who can afford to purchase higher quality coins are allowed to enjoy them, too. Who would've thunk it?

Who said I am rich? You are making some massive assumptions. Collectors work hard to earn the money, use those funds selectively, and work at the hobby. I reiterate--- your comment is spam. I worked for years to afford my coins.

to be accurate, i never told anyone how to feel, i just gave my opinions on the subject. if i am the only one on this forum with the opinions that i have stated, there are reasons for that. the others on here will only tell each other what they want to hear and ignore everything else. they are in a bubble, for lack of a better word, they are in their own little world. they create false notions and then support each others delusions. if you observe things you can realize that many of the most popular notions are also the most false notions.

this is what i am talking about when i said that most on here will just ignore anything that they don't want to hear. they are just choosing to be ignorant. go tell the mods about my comments, i have not said anything wrong.

Hey guys...knock it off. I don't care what you think about what "rich" is or isn't. This forum is about coins. Lets keep it on topic. NO MORE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT INCOME.

Thank you, doc. Appreciate it. If anyone wishes to discuss collecting Morgan Dollars, I am all ears. Same goes for any coins, as that's what we are here for-- the love of coins.

I doubt you could. Try finding every variety of large cent. No collector has ever had a 100% complete collection of LC's, regardless of money. It's the hunt that keeps it interesting. When a guy can bid on a junker coin on Ebay that turns out to be a unique variety, and it cost him less than $30...well, I don't need to say more.

Actually...no...i PERSONALLY know 2 collectors that have put together remarkable sets with not much scratch...i don't know why you feel that you need to go there with it. If you had no ceiling... of course you can knockout a set like it was nothing but for most people out there (except you it seems) they look for specific qualities in coins and are not willing to stray from that. I don't understand why you feel that its ok to be so general...like you know everybody's situation? Most are not going to just bite up any ms coin as they have standards. If you're going to sit there and tell me about what I know or don't know your definitely wasting your time. Like i don't, nor do others know where to find coins. That's ridiculous...but it's clear you feel your some "heavy hitter" or something because you know all...right?? If you personally are wanting to buy coins sight unseen with no specific standards that's your business, but I'm not gonna knock you or suggest that you live in a "fantasy world"...im above that. So What does that say for the guy or gal who took 30 years to compete a set?? 20 years? I suppose they were only able to accomplish this because They had tons of scratch??? I don't care what their financial situation may be. Who are you to take that away from somebody!!??

FWIW, here is the link to my Morgan set that I am slowly trying to complete... http://www.southhillscoins.com/morgans.htm Majority of the Morgans are graded MS64. Some of the more semi-key dates are AU-58's. Super nice sliders. There are a few others that are weaker AUs. I am at the point now where I need to decide whether or not I am going to continue trying to collect all unc or slowly pick up the higher priced semi-key and key dates in lower grades. I have sold off nearly my entire collection of coins to focus on Morgans, Walkers and Early commems.
