I do like William IV shillings, although the reverse doesn't grab me so much, the obverse just looks right on that diameter of silver.
yeah i got a steal to be honest.not high grades but collectable are some all the same. do you like the 4 pence
You guys are killing me!!! My WANT LiST is growing by leaps and bounds. I am also very impressed with the King or Knight on the horse. There are some OUTSTANDING coins here that really deserve to be in INDIANA!!!
Well, if nothing else, we've learned that huuuuge pictures produce wiiiiide threads, that make the readers have to scroll back and forth in order to read them. LOL
Sylvester,I do have a coin that you are talking about - a 1693 William & Mary 6d. from England, but mine is not as good as yours,as it is holed.I have also got the 1/4d. & 1/2d. dated 1694.My rarest William & Mary coin is a 1692 40/- from Scotland, which is extremely difficult to find in any grade.
I can see right now that I am going to have to invest in some world coin catalogs from earlier centuries. GDJMSP I figured if I can't afford any particular coin I can just head your way and look at yours!!!
you can pick up a seaby book off ebay for about 10 bucks latest edition thats pretty good 2005 Coins of England Standard Catalogue by Spink pretty good well worth the money
Thanks Highlander! I will make the effort to do so and should I NOT have any luck I will get back with you. Apreciate the help!
I know a guy that might sell those Spinks books if you're interested i can PM you with a link, should you wish.
You might do that as I had no luck on Ebay this morning. Leaving for a trip tomorrow but would like the info when I return. Thanks!
