Five two dotters, sextans. My hand is about 3.5" X 5", so you see relative size. The second set are an As and Semis.
And now some slightly larger bronze. A piece of a cast bar (746 g) and an aes rude (375 g) broken from a plate. The As is 258 g & the semis is 137 G.
I don't own any aes grave just yet but a few weeks ago I was introduced to the collector who owns this monster: 281 grams of cast bronze awesomeness! I got to handle some amazing EF gold and silver coins that day, including an oath-taking scene gold, a 60-as gold, a few amazing tetradrachms and some beautiful Etruscan silver but this one was by far the most impressive coin of all in-hand. I'd be thrilled to even own some "chump change" like Alegandron's but I'd be over the moon to be able to add something like this to my collection. Also of note: the 2 pocket flip this thing was in was the size of a CD case. It was awesome.
It is smooth like a river rock, hefty, and feels great in hand. I really like the patina on mine...just nice.
