I need better reference books. I don't think this is provincial but it is definitely Hadrian. It just arrived today. I like the peace reverse.
Nice... not a provincial, but a Rome mint denarius struck in the first year of Hadrian's reign. Like this one: http://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=243291
Wow Oki, I love both of your new additions, but I "really" like the Cerberus on the second example!! (very cool)
I have a slightly later version of this coin, COS II, without all the titles on the reverse. Probably Hadrian was trying to shore up his legitimacy with the earliest denarii that sung all his praises.
Wonderful additions OKI !!! I was wondering, like Bing, if you are minting all of these... Months ago I asked if you are missing any 'type' and I believe you mentioned an 'aureus'---Well, I hope your ''Secret Santa' was watching.
Fantastic pieces Oki, and awesome coins all! COS II, in mathematical terms it's cosine(2) which equals .9993908270(etc.).
Thanks, I'm great from 1700 forward but a total newbie on this stuff. Unfortunately for me, I've really been bitten by the ancient bug.
