True, but the coin predates the Roman Denarius and it is bronze so he MIGHT be right. I dont know off the top of my head but it would make sense considering time and location.

I really like the Republicans and hope you will be rephotographing them again and again until you get them just right. When we see one side sharper than the other, my first thought is to suggest bracing the camera. While I dislike phone photos, they can be braced with a stack of books. I have no problem with the bronze ID as presented. I saw some reference to quarter litra but this is out of my specialty and i have not referenced it enough to have an opinion.
