    In time the photos will get better, just take your time and experiment.

    The coin is worthy of a better photos.Please try, it is one of the most difficult an rewarding aspects of the hobby!

    True, but the coin predates the Roman Denarius and it is bronze so he MIGHT be right. I dont know off the top of my head but it would make sense considering time and location.

    I really like the Republicans and hope you will be rephotographing them again and again until you get them just right. When we see one side sharper than the other, my first thought is to suggest bracing the camera. While I dislike phone photos, they can be braced with a stack of books.

    I have no problem with the bronze ID as presented. I saw some reference to quarter litra but this is out of my specialty and i have not referenced it enough to have an opinion.

    That's ok. I think there is room for one more. Besides, I haven't bought a coin in going on 3 months now. I'm trying to get back into it. Baby steps.

    I more than agree DougSmit! I am learning, using a Nikon D40. But right now, used a Microscope and/or Phone (was in hurry). Need an in-house tutor! :)

    Same as Alexandros o Megos: I will free Augustus at a later date...the slabbing was free...

    And I could not resist...got the post 216 BCE AE AS... JUST because it is 42.3g or HEAVIER than a 1 toz $50 AGE... just cool... :)
