The foam is soft. I have put odd sized coins in them. SBA's and large cents will fit in quarter size.
The diameter isn't the problem. It's the thickness. The diameter is the same as the silver maple leaf coins but because they're thicker the capsules can't close completely
Thank you much. I'm working on a date set of AU or better, though many are MS (and a few are details grades). Though we'll keep that our little secret. Most of these were crack outs, but some were purchased raw. I'm waiting on a spectacular 1856 to come in now. I still need five more after that. 39, 40, 41, 54 and 55.
So this is what it looks like. 2 rings. A larger outer ring that fits the diameter of the capsule & a smaller inner ring that fits the diameter of the coin. The capsule closes completely. For the Lunar series it was just one ring. Fit perfectly but the bad news is I discovered one of my Lunar coins is missing. Not sure how it went missing. All the other coins were together. Now I have to buy it again [emoji30]
stoster - nice coin. A Canadian Superleaf? Thats the first one of those I have seen - and now looking for them!
Lol not sure if I would call it a super leaf. Just an uncommon silver weight. There are several other Canadian coins of same/similar weight
These air-tites are EXACTLY what I use. The black ring ones make the silver stand out in a BIG way. I have all my bullion coins in these and I have a TON. Some will say this is very expensive and you know they might be right about that, BUT I am happy when I pull them out of the safe and look at them. They feel good in my hands and I have the peace of mind that they are not being damaged. They are great to let kids handle them. I have tried the white rings and they don't give me that warm and fuzzy. I will stick to the black ones. Thanks. MJH
+1. Love how you can see the edge with direct fits, so use them for all my standard size coins & bullion.
