After 150 rolls this week

    In the very last roll of 150 out pops a very nice 1942-P silver.

    Quite another that has withstood the ravages of circulation. My theory is these were in collections for a while that got liquidated by heirs with neither interest nor knowledge of how special they are. Another great find, that’s a Lot of nickels to go through…Spark

    Consider the coins I have looked through in the last 6 months. An unnatural number of coins that have potential as variety and a considerable number of those varieties. Examples: 1942-D (Vertical D over a horizontal D), 1949-D (D over S), 1954-S (S over D) And 1955-D (D over S). A very unnatural population of silver nickels. I found over 60 since October. Some are near mint. A large number of 1941-S Large S. Yes, I think some of the rolls may included some collection hoard.
