Here are a few more pics at ~45x. The first 4 were taken with my light diffuser, pics are probably worthless since it kills the shadows. Last pic is of the Y in Liberty with the diffuser off. Thanks for all the info, I emailed one of the CONECA guys.
Last two and I'm out for the night. Obverse and WE with no diffuer. Thanks again to all for your help!
Looks like a lot of better info than I gave. I agree, ANACS submission is a better choice. Still hoping for at least a 68.
All info was good and much appreciated. Time will tell... And yes, hoping for a 68 (or higher!) This is my first "real" find and I'm pretty excited. As a bonus, went to my Credit Union today and discovered that their coin sorter takes $1 coins, so I can now dive into checking all my mint presidential rolls! It'll be ~100 degrees all weekend so it looks like I'll have some good coin time.
I think the best you can hope for is a 67. The nick on the nose and the spots in the fields may hold it down. Chris
My 2c 1964 Proof DDO are not that rare a PR-67-69 Cameo or DCam + Heavy Hair accents 1 more 1964 SMS that is the rarest 1964 coin made 1c-50c
That list can be very intimidating Larry. At least it is to me since I'm more of a photograph comparison kinda guy. I'm better with pictures than words and often mis-attribute due to the simplest of factors. For this newbie, it might work for him of it might not. Looking at his pictures, I still don't know for sure which die it might be and to make it worse, the degree of doubling, somehow seems less pronounced in the second set of photo's provided.
I agree PR-65 at best, if Pcgs or Ngc would graded this one.I have seen both TPG's body bag 1964 proof due to Spotting. + 1968-S Kennedy to had a lot of spotted proofs Here 1 1964 Proof that I knew Anacs would be the only 1 who grade it due to spotting.
