I'm sort of in a similar situation. My fiance ordered an item from Ebay and sellers s/h charge said insurance is included. The item was shipped out and he has delivery confirmation that it was delivered to my zipcode but I never received this item. My mother was in the house the whole day and the package never came. I had no idea it was going to be only delivery confirmation. Seller is claiming that its not his fault as he shipped it out, while its true it doesn't seem fair that I had to loose $75. I filed a dispute with Paypal but don't know what else to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have anyone at the post office or your postman who will actually talk to you, try them. Your seller has done nothing wrong, so do not get him upset. Your best hope it probably going to be when he files for the insurance.

That sounds like the most logical thing, the seller seems nice enough and the last thing I want to do is start a big stink over a twenty dollar Morgan.

I really hope the coin shows up more than anything. I just started collecting Morgans and this one would be my first uncirculated peice. 1896-P

Thanks everyone for the input! You folks are great!!

    shatsi--insurance is for the seller/shipper

Insurance included in the S&H cost that you paid should be claimed by the buyer and refunded to you. It might take a while, (the USPS is slow), but if he's a reputable seller he should refund your money and persue his claim. If he really didn't insure your package as stated in the auction, the he should refund your money antway and he" **** out of luck.

USPS will require a signature by the adressee attesting to the fact that a piece was never received.

One thing I have noticed is the fact that since the usps does not scan at pick-up (which I think they should), if the seller prints off pay pal you have no proof they actually sent the package, only that you printed the label.
I had to contact the usps about a package I sent that was claimed as undelivered, and they told me that the package is scaned at delivery either at the post office or at the delivered address.
Delivery confirmation doesent work 100% of the time, But I can't see why you would ship an Item without it as a seller just to cover your own butt a little.
