Advice Appreciated: Selling Coins

    Thanks again for your replies, and it is all making sense. So does anyone out there have a recommendation for a honest and knowledgable coin dealer in the Marin County (just north of San Francisco) area?

    Also, does anyone else have thoughts on the "PCGS grading vs. not grading" question? Sounds like there is a little consensus that sending the more expensive coins to PCGS makes sense. Would you consider the "more expensive" coins to be those with an estimated Redbook value of more than, say, $1,000?

    Where the dealer is really doesn't have much to do with it. What you need to do is contact the dealer that would best be able to serve you regarding the specific coins you have. If you would like to provide more sepcific info either here or in a P/M I would be happy to make some recommendations.
