D. 277 to Early A.D. 278 and the city produced an issue of coins to celebrate this with more ornate busts. The ADVENTVS PROBI AVG coins were produced at Officinae 1, 3 and 4. I only have a couple of examples from this issue.</p><p><br /></p><p>Obv:– VIRTVS PROBI AVG, Radiate, helmeted, cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield</p><p>Rev:– ADVENTVS PROBI AVG, Emperor, riding left, right hand raised, left holding sceptre; at foot, captive</p><p>Mint – Lugdunum (//III) Emission 5, Officina 3. End A.
