I especially like the (Hercules) club above the lion on the reverse.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>9)</b></p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]1417739[/ATTACH] </p><p>[ATTACH=full]1417742[/ATTACH] </p><p><br /></p><p>Two of the four "The London Mint of Constantius & Constantine" plate coins I was able to acquire this year directly from Lee Toone. Although not the most spectacular reverse type, the provenance is highly interesting.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>8)</b></p><p><b>[ATTACH=full]1417748[/ATTACH] </b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p>IMP MAXENTIVS DIVO CONSTANTIO COGN</p><p>Commemorative coin struck by Maxentius for Constantius I. I really liked the COGN (for Cognat) indicating a kinsman. I already had the ADFINI variation in my collection.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>7)</b></p><p><b>[ATTACH=full]1417761[/ATTACH] [ATTACH=full]1417762[/ATTACH]</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p>Two coins (from the total of 4) from the more scares CI-HS series from Lugdunum I was able to add to my collection this year. CI-HS is most likely a mark of value (100 sestertii, with CI=100:1 and HS=Sestertius). Although the more unlikely but interesting "Constantine Imperator Herculius Senior" also has been suggested.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>6)</b></p><p><b>[ATTACH=full]1417763[/ATTACH] </b></p><p>Constantine II, SAECVLI FELICITAS. Although a tad rough, this coins is from a very rare issue from Rome. As a bonus it also has a nice bust of Constantine II holding a Victory in his right hand and a map in the left.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><b>5)</b></p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]1417765[/ATTACH][ATTACH=full]1417764[/ATTACH] </p><p>I am slowly building a nice collection of the dynastic anepigraphic small coinage of Constantine and his family. This year I found a Helena from Antiochia (completing the family for this mint) and a Constantius II from Cyzicus. I consider them b very rare.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>4)</b></p><p><b>[ATTACH=full]1417768[/ATTACH] </b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p>VOT X / ET XV F for Constantine I from the Rome mint with the intriguing EROS mint mark.
