    That's a nice strike for a 76 shield ,and one of the toughest years to find mintage wise in this condition .

    I've been working on a centennial set for a few years. If I remember correctly, I got it at a VNA show in Fredericksburg VA for $190. Not a bargain but I'd been looking for a nice one and I like the die cracks. It's hard to see in my crappy pic but on the reverse, there's a crack that goes from M in America clockwise all the way around to the E in cents.

    Yeah it's a nice one, I picked up two RPD 's at the Annandale show last fall. I was happy to see some new inventory at this show from other dealers that don't set up in my neck of the woods.

    Speaking of catastrophic die cracks, I've always been partial to this one. The cracks are so advanced that the coin can actually be rocked back and forth when placed on a flat surface.
