<p>[QUOTE=&quot;chrisbauman, post: 247600, member: 9097&quot;]<b>re: Adams smoothies $1000</b></p><p><br /></p><p>Jim, I totally agree that these will be $1000+ in a few weeks to a few months.&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#039;ve also searched a ton of rolls (no where near 4000 rolls like you did) and I found many double struck, but just a few smoothies and I didn&#039;t find my first smoothie until about 10 days ago.&nbsp; I went to the Warren show here in Michigan yesterday and talked to a few people who were selling these and the consensus was that these smoothies are going up in value and will be extremely rare.&nbsp;&nbsp; I know some are predicting that there may only be hundreds of these, but I know for sure it won&#039;t be that low based on the info I heard at the show.&nbsp;&nbsp; I guess 1 to 2 per roll is what anyone who has found these was finding and even if they got lets say 4 rolls from the same bank there might be 1 or 2 in one roll, but none in the rest which is the opposite of what happened with the double struck where if one roll had a few you could pretty much bet the rest of the rolls would also.&nbsp; Based on my experience I would predict that each hot&nbsp; box (hot box meaning a box that contained smoothies) of $1000 would have about 25 to 30 smoothies in it and from what I understand these were only being found at locations of two major banks in the detroit metropolitan area and not every branch would have them from which&nbsp; I can testify to from my own experience.&nbsp;&nbsp; I figure if we are conservative and assume that 100 banks overall received hot boxes of these smoothies then you could figure about 2500 to 3000 smoothies are out there, but I think that even this might be a high estimate.&nbsp;&nbsp; Heck if the 1995 W Silver Eagles are selling for $5000 and there are 30,000 out there and the Washington SMoothies are selling for $100 in 65&#039;s and supposedly there are close to 100k out there then if the numbers I&#039;m predicting hold true then yes we will see prices in thousands before we know it.&nbsp; Personally, I&#039;m hanging on to mine, but my double struck I don&#039;t care about since I know those will be in the 10&#039;s of thousands.&nbsp;&nbsp; Also I bet the slabbed ones will be commanding $600 or more once they appear on ebay just because most people will not want to fork out big dollars in fear of being scammed.&nbsp; &nbsp; In addition, if this news hits the USA Today like the Washington Smoothies did then these will really skyrocket.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
