This may have come up before, but IMO the use of acronyms in the forums can be a bit frustrating to some of us. Is there a list that explains what PMD, DD and other abbreviations mean and why I should care? It would be helpful. TTFN
I'm not sure if there's a thread, but all you need to do is ask. The more threads you read, the more you'll be familiar with the acronyms. This site is no worse than any other coin site I've been on for using acronyms. PMD = Post Mint Damage DD = Doubled Die

It is insane the amount of acronyms used at my job so I get pretty used to it. It gets pretty ridiculous however with some of them and turns more into laziness and unreadable at times.
I worked at a factory for 38 years and acronyms were outrageous and frustrated me to no end but I find them necessary to shorten answers sometimes to save space. It was here also and I have become used to it though do not use it as often as some do.
I created this list to help out: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/cointalks-numismatic-acronym-glossary.257793/
