The reason it happens is completely immaterial.</p><p><br /></p><p>Also, when you consider that there is an alternative choice of solvent to use on copper, namely xylene, that does everything for you that acetone will do, and some things that acetone won't, and that NEVER causes copper to turn weird colors. Risk on one hand - that you have seen with my own eyes - no risk on the other.</p><p><br /></p><p>Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I don't need to be a rocket scientist to make a choice like that ! Nor do I need a rocket scientist to tell me that I'm making a bad choice.
