Hey Guys, As suggested by @Kirkuleez I am posting another update of my type set. I purchased 3 coins between September end now. For those who haven't seen, I will post general photos but the better photos are in the original thread (https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ace71499s-type-set-progress-as-of-8-26.302015/#post-2836725). And for a new edition. An MS 62 Indian head cents, no cool story just an ebay purchase. And my two other coins reside in the last page of the book. An 1893 Columbian exposition half. I've wanted one forever, so I bought it. And a 2015 silver eagle, which I had. I don't remember exactly when or where I got it... however it fits! Thanks for looking! Jason
Fabulous, fabulous! @Kirkuleez isn't the only one who's said you should keep posting updates. It's looking really nice, and makes me reminiscent for my old Dansco 7070 days, as I've probably said before. I like the look of the green Littleton album. I probably said that before, too. Yikes! That "horse head applause" GIF I found is creepy, ain't it? LOL I just posted another update, myself.
PS- that's a sweet Indian cent! As to the steel cent, if I was gonna crack one out out of a slab to put in an album, I'd have bought an MS64-65 example, to save a few bucks. They wouldn't look that different from a 66.
Yes, you were the one with the general idea to keep posting updates. You were the one who said to post the first thread too, so credit where credit is due. Kirk did suggest however for Secret Santa i should update everyone on my progress. I wouldn't have done it because i seemed to have only added 3 coins. As for the crack out game... not sure how comfortable i am with that at the moment. So i don't expect to be cracking anything out soon, so my slabs can rest easy.
I only added ONE coin in my last update, but did add grades on four ancients just back from NGC, and some new pictures. Having stuff partly in slabs and partly in albums would bug me in a sort of display-obsessive way (I've gotta have 'em all one way or the other), but if the inconsistency of display and housing doesn't bother you, then yeah, it's probably best to keep your stabbed stuff in the plastic.
I understand that. Maybe when I have to carry 2 fistfuls of slabs and the book when I want to show people, maybe that's when I say enough lol.
