I had a tough time following the auctioneer because he kept muting his microphone so I had to follow the bids by text in the online window. I believe Dr Robert Schwartz created the cool catalog and did a lot of other things to keep the event together. He was very helpful after I sent him an email stating I like anything created by ABNCo but had no idea what they are worth and had no experience bidding in online auctions. We spoke several times including the two times he called me. Great guy. I told him about CoinTalk.

http://www.archivesinternational.com/
I bid from the 'Net because I just got back into town and and too many things needed attention so I couldn't leave home again this time for two days. I won three three lots but lost the third one, lot #662, due to auction error. Really P.O. me off because it's a very cool stock certificate including a locomotive turning a bend, miner and a cool title. The sale was pretty overwhelming. I had a tough time following the auctioneer because he kept muting his microphone so I had to follow the bids by text in the online window. Very very difficult for me to keep up and I lost all sense of pacing. At one point I blinked and missed ten pieces, I think it was ten, of MPC. Had I been able to hear the auction audio I would have bought the lot. The most expensive piece that I saw was a Hawaiian $500 certificate of deposit that went for $11,500.00 plus 18% premium. Next time I'm going to attend not do 'Net bidding. Overall, about 1,800 pieces were sold.
