(“Small Head”) ~ REVERSE:&nbsp; St. George slaying the dragon.&nbsp; The “Small Head” design has two rows of beading around the rim and was only used in issues from 1929 to 1931. It was changed in an attempt to improve the level of detail in the obverse and reverse designs and minimize any “ghosting” effect of the reverse design. It also included minor alterations to the St. George reverse. (ie. the folds in the cape, his sword, and broken lance on the ground). ~ Obverse designer was Edgar Bertram MacKennal.
