US money is not on the metric system now? The English language needs a new punctuation mark, a "sarcasm point".
that may be the most accurate description of the nati i have ever seen! lol. i've never had to buy 18 gallons of gas, so i don't know if they would make an exception for that or not.
It seems cash, and large-denomination cash, is something for the older generations. Some of my elderly clients insist on paying with large bills, which I hate. What's the point in carrying ANY money if it can be freely stolen / taken / found and used? At least my debit card can be canceled out if I lose it. Then again I'm one of those young punks with new-fangled ideas.
The world would have to be at peace everywhere. I'm not sure if enemies would want to share their finances together. You would need a world bank to control the system with representation from all countries. You can look to the UN to see how the probability of that would work. It could happen, but we are a long way from seeing it developed. Now, just it happening in capitalistic countries, that could be sooner.
http://news.yahoo.com/u-could-pressure-north-korea-tomorrow-quit-100-094000585.html This story recomends the $100 be withdrawn. Adding a $500 would only make it worse. Or we could switch to polymer notes.
Drago, how many $500 notes would you actually carry around on an average day if they were to be reissued? Be truthful, now.
I swore to myself I would not check on this thread again. Then I saw James had posted. Like a car wreck, I just had to look!
