A Visit to the National Gallery in Oslo

    On my trip to Oslo last weekend I "had to" visit the National Art Museum in order to let my family see Edvard Munch´s "Scream".
    But to my surprise I was rewarded with the sight of some marble busts of Roman Emperors in the antique section.

    There were no numismatic items there, so as this forum is about coins, I´ll accompany the marble heads with the corresponding portraits from my Sestertius gallery:

    And finally in the Renaissance section I saw this terracotta "Head of an unidentified man", dating from ca. 1500 (from the workshop of Andrea della Robbia):

    What do you think - doesn´t he look a lot like Hadrian???

    Now send a picture of the scream. One of my favorites. Wasn't it stolen awhile back. And background about that. Family must love you more then ever now

    Guess noses break off easily?

    Looks like it was an enjoyable visit and I think that looks like Hadrian.

    Not sure I see Hadrian in that last bust, but I didn't see Nero in the first one either :)
