I post this in Coin Chat because this concerns an issue which drew much attention over a long period of time on this site. These two are part of a larger group of people that makes this online community special. Almost without exception, there are dozens of members that do nice things for others and it goes unseen. This may include: helping young kids out that are trying to get into the hobby, helping someone look for that special coin as a gift, giving advice on how to deal with an inherited collection, or even just the mundane running of the site. Behind the scenes, there are members, moderators and administrators that do their best to keep this site going strong. However, when it comes to things these good people can't control, such as an unfulfilled contest, we should not expect someone else to pick up the slack. I did not ask for or expect this beautiful coin. But this is what happens when coins, this forum, and good-hearted people are mixed together. I truly believe they deserve this attention because they did not have to do this, yet felt compelled for whatever reasons to do so. I think it was a combination of respect for the hobby and love of the site. Or simply put, they believe in honor and good works/deeds.

The coin I received is a tad bit more valuable than what I would've received in the contest but I'm ok with this. I've always wanted one now this beautiful AU example will NEVER leave my collection. I want everyone on the forum to know that I now consider the "Contest for an 1812 Bust Half" over, a non-issue, a dead topic,:dead-horse:. Again, I thank Bedford and LostDutchman from the bottom of my heart. These guys are truly two of the good guys out there. Oh, and yes I know the pictures stink, but I wanted to get this post up ASAP. I will work on getting better pictures up in the near future.

/end drama
