A unusual find in Spain

    Got some change from various purchases this morning. When I went to throw it into the change pot, this leapt out at me. You don´t see US coinage very often in Spain, someone must have confused it with a 2 Euro cent as they are similar in size.
    Just thought I would share it with you.

    Looks like a bit of lamination error on the reverse just above cent. In any event nice penny from Spain.

    Is it a copper or a zinc penny?

    (The US Mints made both kinds in 1982)

    It is a 1981D, so copper.
