I traded this one to another CT member. The details are sharp on this little AE4. Arcadius AE4 (from Siscia Mint) 384-387 AD. Obv: DN ARCADIVS PF AVG, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right. Rev: VICTORIA AVGGG, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm. BSIS in exergue. Grade: An attractive EF with dk chocolate brown patina. Well centered including sharp & complete legends. Other: RIC IX Siscia 39d. From Allen Berman 6/15
ancient coin hunter ... seriously, can't you get closer to your coin? (crop-out 2/3 of the white background and show us a better coin-photo?) Your coins will appreciate the effort
This is either Honorius or Arcadius, can't really tell, except there appears to be an "O" in the legend which would push me in favor of Honorius. Reverse appears to be Constantinoplis. Facing helmeted bust on the obverse. Came in the same hoard as the Arcadius coins above. If I am wrong please let me know. Thanks!
