Heh. lot of numbers to count. Maybe you can do something like 1-20 and only 1 guess per person! Cut down on your work.

wanted to send an update i got my order from this today. It helped me fill a couple spots in my allbum but i would say definately made to look unsearched there where very few that werent philly and here is the breakdown of what was in it.

    Teens - 6
    20's - 5
    30's - 11
    40's - 31
    50's - 55
silver quarter was a '64 not in great shape
silver roosie was a 64 in good shape
    1906 IHC very good condition
    1937 Buffalo in decent shape
'45 merc with lots of scratches
'43 steel bad shape almost completely black
the war nickle i dont remember the year but it was very worn

not that great definately wasnt worth the money but i could have gotten a bad bag since orange says his was good but think i will just search dealer junk boxes for the wheaties i need now that i filled quite a few spots.

It may not have been worth it to you financially.. But hopefully you had a fun time doing this and getting to search through those coins.

Taking the time to read and respond to a new member's introduction. And welcoming them to the website.. Duhhh :goofer:

The first lesson to be learned is how to grade a coin both as to wear and condition. Many coins can range from under a dollar in AG to many thousands in MS70. Since the range is so huge, it is a significant, if not the primary factor in any description of any coin.

An Indian cull might be worth 75 cents, or it could be an 1877 in MS-63 for $4,500. You see the inadequacy of just mentioning the type.

It is far better to educate yourself first and then spend your money wisely, but many people want to dive right in. If this is what you're doing, just be aware that these lessons can be expensive unless you keep the initial investment low as you learn.

You are correct. If it's safe, it isn't a bet.

It's not about post count at all.. There are plenty of people with "low post counts" that I love reading the posts they do create. Some I wish would post more. It's the knowledge they bring that keeps me reading.

    The lesson:

Only speak when you have something to say.

The guy offers a money back guarantee. What's to keep someone from picking out the dozen or so keepers and replacing them with some other junk and sending them back? You'd still have to pay shipping both ways, but you'd only be out 12 bucks. Just a thought.

I didn't read all the tread but I bought an auction from these guys about 6-7 years ago , same pic of the kids throwing coins about. Turns out they were all junk all junk.. I would pass
