Wow. I really hope no one pays $100.00 for that. If anything it should be at least half off
I used to work at a printing outfit that had a huge cutting machine that would cut stacks of paper. We used to cut pennies in half all the time. I could have made a killing selling coins like that.
Somebody update the redbook mintage figures.
I've seen this kind of thing before, so sad.
Wow.....Only 500 bucks for a "Buy it Now", and you almost can't see the saw marks.
Who would do that to SLQ!
Hope no one falls for it.
Im just curious, how they were able to remain as a pair, all this time.,its like finding the other piece of a clip.

lol @ Mad.Outcast
Just goes to show you even people with over 16,000 transactions and 100% feedback on eBay can't be trusted.
If I tear an old dollar bill in half and blame it on a ripped web at the printer, does anybody here want to buy it?
Maybe he's got some swampland in Florida he wants to sell too.
I would buy it,for .50 cents:mouth::crying:
What am I missing, looks legit to me...:goofer::goofer::goofer:
Looks like that Nevada Coin company's "Broken CC" they show in their advertisments to me.
Ive got some mighty putty in my tool box.....LOL
Below is a link to a genuine split planchet SLQ. This coin was once owned by a member of our coin club and appeared in CW maybe 18 months or so ago.
How exactly do you know the story is not as suggested by the seller?
I mean it does look suspicious, but the photos aren't big enough for me (at least) to levy such accusations.
What am I missing?
How many would you like? I can run to a coin shop tomorrow, and I think I have a saw in the garage,if not I can always get one.Apparently you dont understand "gimmicks"
a gimmick is a quirky feature that distinguishes a product or service without adding any obvious function or value.
So how many would you like? Gimmick+Copy=
