    Epander
    c. 95-90BC
    Bronze unit

    Zebu bull and Nike.

    Kharoshthi text around the bull reads: "maharajasa / jayadharasa / epadrasa"

    Greek legend around Nike reads: "Basileos / nikephorou / epandrou"

    "Of king epander, the victorious"

    Epander was an Indo Greek king who ruled briefly in the areas of Punjab. His short rule is further supported by the rarity of his coins.

    Mine is a more common variety. I captured it because I think square coins are attractive. Here is my Zebu / Elephant from Baktria...
