How often are shield nickels found in rolls. I found one from 1867 a few days ago in a machine wrapped roll.

I personally don't search nickel rolls, but I would say finding a shield nickel in a roll is quite rare. Do you have photos?

That's pretty awesome. I've only found Buffalo Nicks in circ perhaps twice, and never any LH or Shield. Great find!

now that would be awesome to find a shield nickle in a bank roll of coins. I bet that old coin was really banged up
