' I searched 20 rolls last week and found one SWN, no hole fillers, but a few upgrades. Easier to handle than cents and dimes and usually a fair number of 40's and 50's.
ok I came up with my stats and will post them on here and I would like you guys to compaire to your own and let me know how i am doing. I have allot of ups and downs.
Im not going to write what I have found but what I have not found! Of these coins I am about to list, I have not found more than 1 if any at all. 38-D,38-S,39-D,39-S,46-S,47-S,48-S,49-S,50,50-D,51-S,53-S,54-S,55,58 these stats are from February 1st - Today. And having searched 1000 rolls The top producers were the 40,41,41-D,46,47,48,49,53-D,54-D,55-D,57-D,58-D,59-D. These coins were all found at least 10 times or more. All other dates not listed in either spot were found 9 times or less. so the odds of finding a 50 or 50-D is much worse than 1/40000
nickels ok, i have been searching nickels for a long time and i have found out that if you buy boxes of them, your odds of finding the war nickels are slim to none, when you go into the bank ask if they have any customer wrapped rolls, people really dont know what they have, all they know is that they have to get these nickels wrapped, this is also another way to find buffalos and "v" nickels. nickels are the best satisfaction of all the coins, during my nickel findings i have found over 30 war nickels, 8 buffalos and 1 "v" nickel from 1911.every once in awhile you might find canadian coins, and i found a somalia nickel that had an elephant on it, i think its made out of aluminum, euro's and some other coins i dont have a clue about.and plus u can find some nickels that are amazing. i found a full 5 step 1940, and a 1963 d full step nickel.just ask for customer wrapped rolls.
Yeah, i wish they would stop melting coins. And if they insist on melting coins, they should have to keep track of what and how many they melt
