Garst was the proprietor of Phenyo Caffein Co., a medicine manufacturer.  Two trade tokens from this issuer form parts of this rare puzzle, Ma-WC 12 and 13. Both tokens are uniface brass discs at the end of a complicated assembly of wire loops, rings and wooden beads. One token gives instructions on how to work the puzzle, and the other is an advertisement for a caffein remedy: CHILIAN PUZZLE / REMOVE / THE RING / AND / PUT IT ON / AGAIN, and PHENYO CAFFEIN / CURES / HEADACHE / AND / NEURALGIA /PHENYO C.
