My Ptolemy bronze selection is pretty limited at the moment, I actually only have 3. This first one is actually the first Greek coin I ever bought, I spent around $5 on it when I first started collecting and my collection mainly consisted of LRBs: I think this is Ptolemy VI & VIII joint reign based on info from the seller about the coins it was found with but i don't think it's possible to know for sure. The next two were both won from a CNG auction(I actually won 3, 2 840s and an 839, and sold the lower-grade 840 which nearly paid for the whole lot): Ptolemy III, Euergetes, 246-222 BC AE Chalkous(12.0mm, 2.0g). Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right/ΠΤΟΛΣΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΣΩΣ Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, trident left. Ex. J. P. Righetti Collection #43. Svoronos 840 Ptolemy III, Euergetes, 246-222 BC AE Trihemichalkon(15mm, 2.9g). Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right/ΠΤΟΛΣΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΣΩΣ Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, trident left. Ex. J. P. Righetti Collection #42. Svoronos 839 I have a friend who professionally cleans ancients with whom I have been discussing buying a big ol' drachm that he's working on but it may be some time before I'll have it.
