I saw the photos in another thread. Unfortunately it appears to be a perfectly ordinary example, meaning it's worth only face value. I forget the exact number, but if memory serves me correctly there was somewhere close to two BILLION minted (and close to three billion for the D or Denver issue), so even after so much time, they're still rather plentiful and fairly easily located in change. That said though, "value", or what someone else is willing to pay for a coin doesn't mean squat if you like it. This is supposed to be a hobby, so if you like the coin, please keep and enjoy it. In this sense it's a perfectly fine and respectable collectible.
