I stop in at my local bank every Friday. The tellers there hold any unusual coin or note deposits for me and I always take everything they have for me as a courtesy. Most of the time it's nothing too exciting, but I got a nice haul today. About $40 in Kennedy halves that someone had deposited this week: I could tell when they were counting it out for me that there was silver, but I waited until I got home to sort it out. Out of the lot there was: 1966 x3 1967 x2 1968D x3 1969D x9 And better still, a 1968S proof!
It sure looks like more than 18 coins there. What other years did you get, even if they weren't 'silver'?
