I got the square root of 3.3166247 as being 1.82116026203. couldnt make any connection with the sum part. an explanation would be great b/c i LOVE math and number patterns.

There is no magic formula.. simply get a calc and start running squares for numbers from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, .... and when you see the square enlarging, you know you have to be close!!


The square of 11 is equal to the number I posted. 5+1+5 = 11 square of 11 = 3.3166247

I love math too, so when that particular hint was posted, I got right on that.

 

I think you are missing a word in that sentence. The square of 11 is 121. The square ROOT of 11 is 3.31662479

I made an error too, found the square root of 3.3166247 and started trying to unscramble 1.8211603. Oh well... I got tons of credits out of this thread and have just sent jaceravone 11,111 credits for the fundraiser
