This was Stewart Blay's collection (Red Copper). The 1919 MS69 RD sold for $421,875 and his 69S DDO sold for $601,875.
His collection was incredible. The whole collection sold for 7.7 Mil.

Does anyone know why it went to GC and not a Heritage or Legend?
Yup. If you're able to bid a million dollars on a coin, would you rather pay $100,000 premium or $200,000 premium? And yeah, to most folks that rich, it does matter ... majority of cases, they got rich because they are very smart about money.
