A New AE Follis Maximinus II

    Here is a Follis of Maximinus II that I acquired late last year from eBay. Overall, a well-defined coin with decent color, in my opinion, but, difficult to attribute. Nonetheless, the attribution I made below is only tentative, as this is only the third Roman coin I've attempted to attribute.

    This one surprised me a bit - I never know how big an LRB is going to be until it comes in the mail - this was a big one.

    Mike has a point. The first coin of @Alegandron is larger than his second, but the photos show it the other way. Maybe the maximum diameter of the coins could be given in mm (for all images of coins) so readers can know how big they are.

    Agreed. I updated my attribution. Some of my coins I captured seveal years ago, some have old / bad photos, some I use Seller photos. I am not a photographer. I have learned to save pics in larger formats, but have not learned to truly scale them. All of my coins are locked up at this time, and I regret that I cannot review and re-photo them. Excuses, excuses, mea culpa.
