Tom, here's a word of advise, if you are going to search Lincolns and collect the minor varieties, join the Lincoln Cent Resource forum. You'll learn more about them than you ever thought possible...not to mention you won't be belittled for collecting minor varieties. I've yet to understand why it bothers folks so bad that people collect minor Lincoln varieties. They need to pound it home that these aren't worth your time. You know what? They are full of it! It's plenty worth my time! You know why? I enjoy the crap out of it. Some people don't have wads of money lying around to spend on other money, yet still enjoy collecting.

This used to be my favorite forum BY FAR.

Nowadays it seems you get more attention over a damaged coin than a legitimate variety or error. You put a Cherrypickers Guide variety up and get 4 or 5 congrats. You put up a minor variety and get belittled for a page or two about how minor it is. You throw a coin in a wood chipper, take a pic, post it, and the arguments go on for 10 to 15 pages.

What's happened here?!?

Maybe eBay could help out by banning the sell of these crappy, minor doubled dies. Let's not allow people to collect what they want to. Hell, someone posted a few weeks ago that eBay should ban machine damaged coins. I sure don't collect them, but some do. If you don't believe it, and I know some don't, look at sells for correctly described MD. But, since that certain poster doesn't like it ban them. eBay ban these...absolutely asinine!!

Tom, sorry for hijacking your thread, I just can't take the BS anymore!
